Grilled Creamy Corn Chowder

- 1 to 2 cups cooked or grilled sweet corn or as desired shopping list
- 1 small onion finely chopped shopping list
- 1 rib of celery fine diced shopping list
- 1/2 stick butter or margarine shopping list
- 2 tbs flour shopping list
- hot chicken broth, approx 4 cups or as needed shopping list
- salt, pepper, thyme shopping list
- heavy cream as needed to thin soup shopping list
- Optional: 1 cup diced cooked chicken, 1 cup chopped clams shopping list
How to make it
- Melt butter in pot over medium heat and saute veges until soft. Stir in the flour and cook and stir into a paste.
- Gradually add enough hot chicken broth for desired thick consistency.
- Stir in the corn as much as desired
- Add the clams and chicken if desired
- Season with salt, pepper, powdered thyme
- Finish off with some heavy cream to thin soup if needed and to lighten up flavor
- Quantity depends on whether you serve a cup or deep soup bowl
