Farmhouse Cookies

                    - 1 cup butter, softened shopping list
- 2 cups sugar shopping list
- 2 eggs shopping list
- 1 cup sour cream shopping list
- 1 tsp vanilla shopping list
- 4 1/2 cups flour shopping list
- 1/2 tsp baking soda shopping list
- 4 tsp baking powder shopping list
- Optional: 3/4 cup chopped nuts & 1/2 cup raisins shopping list
How to make it 
                    - Blend together the butter and sugar in a large bowl
- Add the eggs, one at a time
- Beat in the sour cream and the vanilla
- Set aside
- Combine the flour, baking soda, and baking powder in a separate bowl
- Blend thoroughly
- Gradually add the flour mixture into the butter mixture
- Mix well
- The dough should be fairly thick
- Roll out on a floured surface
- Using a large cookie cutter, cut out the cookies
- Arrange on an ungreased baking sheet
- Sprinkle with the nuts and raisins, if desired
- Bake at 350 F for 15 to 18 minutes
