Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

- 1 1/2 cups flour shopping list
- 1 tsp baking powder shopping list
- 1/4 tsp salt shopping list
- 1 cup firmly packed light brown sugar shopping list
- 3/4 cup (1 1/2 sticks) butter, softened shopping list
- 2 large eggs shopping list
- 1 tsp vanilla shopping list
- 1 1/2 cups rolled or quick-cooking oats shopping list
- 1 cup raisins shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat the oven to 350 F.
- Grease 3 baking sheets
- Combine the flour, baking powder, and salt in a medium bowl
- Place the brown sugar and the butter in a large bowl
- Beat with an electirc mixer set on high speed until light and fluffy
- Beat in the eggs and vanilla until smooth
- Gradually stir in the flour mixture with a wooden spoon until thoroughly combined
- Stir in the oats and raisins until blended.
- Drop the dough by rounded spoonfuls 1 1/2 inches apart on the prepared baking sheets
- Flatten the dough slightly with a fork
- Bake until golden brown, about 12 minutes
- Cool on the baking sheets for 2 minutes
- Transfer to wire racks
- Servw warm or at room temperature
