Honey Wheat Bread

- 2 cups warm water shopping list
- 1/3 cup honey shopping list
- 1 tsp salt shopping list
- 2 tbsp butter shopping list
- 1 tbsp active dry yeast shopping list
- 3 cups whole wheat flour shopping list
- 1/4 cup canola oil shopping list
- 4 cups all-purpose baking flour shopping list
How to make it
- 1. Dissolve yeast in warm water. Add honey and mix well.
- 2. Mix wheat flour, salt, oil and butter until its a stiff dough.
- 3. Add all purpose flour one cup at a time.
- 4. Knead dough on floured counter for 15 minutes.
- 5. When it becomes elastic, make a ball and place in an oiled bowl. Cover with warm, damp cloth and allow to rise for about 45 minutes.
- 6. Punch dough down and cut in half to make 2 loaves.
- 7. Place each half in a greased loaf pan and allow to rise till their 1" about the top rim of the pan.
- 8. Place in oven at 375 degrees for 30 minutes.
- 9. After the bread is done, allow to sit in pan for 15 minutes before taking bread out of pan.
- NOTE: Remember this recipe is for 2 loaves. Cut everything in half if planning to use bread machine.
