How to make it

  • 1. Dissolve yeast in warm water. Add honey and mix well.
  • 2. Mix wheat flour, salt, oil and butter until its a stiff dough.
  • 3. Add all purpose flour one cup at a time.
  • 4. Knead dough on floured counter for 15 minutes.
  • 5. When it becomes elastic, make a ball and place in an oiled bowl. Cover with warm, damp cloth and allow to rise for about 45 minutes.
  • 6. Punch dough down and cut in half to make 2 loaves.
  • 7. Place each half in a greased loaf pan and allow to rise till their 1" about the top rim of the pan.
  • 8. Place in oven at 375 degrees for 30 minutes.
  • 9. After the bread is done, allow to sit in pan for 15 minutes before taking bread out of pan.
  • NOTE: Remember this recipe is for 2 loaves. Cut everything in half if planning to use bread machine.
