Walnut - Pecan Maple Torte

- 1/4 cup ground flaxseed shopping list
- 1/3 cup hot water shopping list
- 2 eggs, separated shopping list
- 1/2 cup maple syrup shopping list
- 2 tbsp dark brown sugar shopping list
- 1 tbsp vanilla shopping list
- 1/2 tsp baking soda shopping list
- 1/2 tsp salt shopping list
- 1 cup ground walnuts shopping list
- 3/4 cup ground pecans shopping list
- 2 egg whites shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 350°F and line a 9-inch springform pan with parchment paper.
- In a small dish, whisk together flaxseed and water. Let stand 10 minutes.
- In a large bowl, beat egg yolks, maple syrup, brown sugar, vanilla, baking soda and salt together.
- Add flaxseed mixture and beat in well, then mix in the ground nuts.
- Whip all the egg whites until soft-peak stage and quickly but gently fold them into the mixture.
- Bake for 28-30 minutes. Cool in the pan before unmoulding.
