How to make it

  • Preparation:
  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees
  • Cook onion in 1/4 cup butter until tender, add garlic and cook until you can smell the garlic, for about a minute. Stir in Mushrooms, crab meat, crackers and parsley. Spread over fish and roll with seam side down.
  • Sauce:
  • Melt 3 T. butter. Add flour. Add enough milk to mushroom liquid to make 1 1/2 cups. Add wine to saucepan and stir until thick and bubbly. Pour over fish. Bake 25 minutes. Remove and sprinkle paprika and squeeze the juice of one lemon on fish. Place in oven for 10 minutes.

    Yes, just ask for Flounder fillets. I used to catch my own flounder one after the other, with a drop line, in a row boat, on the L.I. Sound, using 'hot dogs' as bait. My mom had to clean almost 100 of them all in one day. LMAO

    Hi Diane... Just wondering, is the flounder cut into filets when you purchase them? That's what it looks like in the picture, but only wanted to make sure.
