Southern Comfort Glazed Spice Cake

For flavor and aroma you just cannot beat this easy-to-make Fall spice cake. Great for family or holidays and served with steaming double-dutch hot chocolate. Will warm anyone's heart. From That's the Spirit~a tradition in my house for Christmas Eve.
Ingredients

- 1/2 cup butter shopping list
- 1 1/2 cups white sugar shopping list
- 2 eggs shopping list
- 2 tablespoons Southern Comfort shopping list
- 1 cup milk shopping list
- 2 1/2 cups all purpose flour shopping list
- 4 teaspoons baking powder shopping list
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg shopping list
- 1/8 teaspoon cloves shopping list
- glaze shopping list
- 1/4 cup white sugar shopping list
- 1/4 cup Southern Comfort shopping list
- 1/4 cup orange juice shopping list
- Bring to a boil, let sugar dissolve. shopping list
- Let cool 3. Pour over cake shopping list
How to make it
- Cream the butter and sugar together
- Add the eggs and beat until smooth
- Add the Southern Comfort
- Sift the flour, spices and baking powder together
- Add the flour a bit at a time, alternating with the milk
- Pour into a greased 9 inch pan and bake 25 - 30 min or until top springs back when lightly touched. Remove from oven and pour glaze over it.
