Ingredients

How to make it

  • 1. Combine all ingredients (except water) in a bowl and mix well, but don't overmix. Just blend the ingredients together. I find my hands work best.
  • 2. Roll four balls and then flatten to about 1/2 an inch between your hands. Using your forefinger, poke a hole all the way through the center of each patty.
  • 3. Place on pre-heated cooking surface (I use medium high with a grill top), pour 1 1/2 tsp. of water in the center of each patty, and immediately cover. Cook for five minutes, flip, cover, and cook for five more minutes. *Optional - after flipping, place small handful of bleu cheese crumble on the patty before re-covering.
  • 4. While patty is cooking, prepare two slices of your favorite bread by brushing each side with olive oil and sprinkling with salt and dried rosemary. After patty is removed, place bread on cooking surface and cook for 3-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown.
  • 5. Build burger with preferred condiments and enjoy!

Thanks for the nice recipe. I'm not sure why, but the ground beef available today is almost tasteless. Using bison to make burgers makes them taste like ground beef did (once upon a time). I prefer ground bison in place of ground beef for any burger recipe I have.
