How to make it

  • Cut the tomatoes into 1/2 inch. slices. Combine the cornmeal,flour,salt and pepper in a bowl. Coat both sides of the tomato slices with mixture.Heat half the oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Brown the tomato slices on both sides. You'll need to do this in batches, the tomatoes should not overlap.
  • Drain on paper towels.
  • ENJOY
