Whisky Tablet

An alternative tablet recipe, this is great for Christmas as it can be pre-made an store in an air tight container for a few weeks.
Ingredients
- 1 Kilo white sugar shopping list
- 300g 1 1/4 cups butter shopping list
- 1 tin sweet condensed milk shopping list
- 1 tea cup of whisky shopping list
- 2 pints of freshly made, hot, milkless tea shopping list
How to make it
- Melt butter in a large saucepan, then add the tea. Add all sugar stir continuously until all the sugar has melted. Stir in the milk and whisky and stir continuously until the correct consistency is reached (about 10 to 15 min.)
- To get the correct consistency have a cup of cold water handy and add a teaspoon of the mixture to it from time to time until it sets firm in the water.
- Pour the tablet into a large buttered tray and when partly set cut into bite sized squares.
