Poor Man's Pork Chow Mein

- 1-2 sm. pork steaks shopping list
- 1 can chow mein noodles shopping list
- 3-4 stalks celery, sliced diagonally shopping list
- 1-2 sm. white onions shopping list
- Sm. can mushrooms, ends and pieces shopping list
- 1 cube chicken bouillon shopping list
- cornstarch to thicken shopping list
- 1 tsp. to 1 tbsp. sugar as desired shopping list
- 2-3 tbsp. soy sauce as desired shopping list
How to make it
- Cut pork steaks into small bite-size pieces. Slice onions to produce round rings 1/4 to 3/8-inch thick. Brown pork pieces in skillet. Add celery and onions, let cook 2-3 minutes. Add bouillon cube and 1 cup water.
- Add sugar to taste; add soy sauce. Let cook for 2 minutes; stir and mix. Add cornstarch to thicken sauce; cook starch thoroughly. Mix meat and vegetables one last time to coat all surfaces.
- Serve over noodles; noodles will absorb juices and be another flavor treat.
