How to make it

  • 1. Peel carrots and thinly slice.
  • 2. Melt butter in a heavy saucepan.
  • 3. Add carrots, onion and nutmeg.
  • 4. When onions have browned add the vinegar.
  • 5. Cover and cook over a low heat until carrots are tender.
  • 6. Add the raisins and the brown sugar.
  • 7. When the raisins are warm then serve.
