How to make it

  • Heat oven to 350 degrees.
  • In large , mixer bowl combine sugar and butter.
  • Beat at medium speed, scraping bowl often, until creamy (about 1 to 2 minutes).
  • Add egg and vanilla, continue beating until well mixed ( 1 minute).
  • Reduce speed to to low, add flour, baking soda and salt.
  • Continue beating, scraping bowl often, until well mixed.
  • Cover and refrigerate until firm (about 1 hour).
  • Shape dough into 1-inch balls, roll into hazelnuts.
  • Place 2-inches apart on cookie sheet.
  • Bake 13 to 16 minutes or until edges are lightly browned.
