Pear Orange Cranberry Sauce

- 1 cup water shopping list
- 1 cup orange juice shopping list
- 2 cups sugar shopping list
- 2 bags cranberries shopping list
- 3 pears shopping list
- grated zest of 1 medium orange shopping list
- 1/4 cup honey shopping list
- 1 tsp ginger shopping list
- 1 tsp cinnamon shopping list
How to make it
- 1. mix water, orange juice and sugar in large sauce pan and bring to a boil.
- 2. While mixture is heating peel and core pear. Dice into cubes.
- 3. Once liquid is boiling, add cranberries, pears, orange zest. honey, ginger and cinnamon.
- 4. Bring to a second boil
- 5. Reduce heat and simmer partially covered, stirring occasionally for 10 minutes until berries start to pop.
- 6. Transfer mixture to heat proof bowl and allow to cool to room temperature. Sauce will thicken as it cools
- 7. Once room temperature cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.

I had a similar recipe for a cranberry-pear sauce, but was unable to find it. This recipe comes very close to that recipe. Mixed up a batch this evening - smells and looks wonderful. Can't wait to taste it on Thanksgiving day.
