Baked French Toast

- 1/4 (1lb) loaf French bread cut into slices shopping list
- 2 eggs shopping list
- 1/2 cup milk shopping list
- 1/4 cup fresh cream shopping list
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract shopping list
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon shopping list
- 3 tablespoons butter shopping list
- 1/3 cup brown sugar shopping list
- 2 1/4 teaspoons light corn sugar shopping list
- 1 tablespoon of fine orange zest shopping list
How to make it
- 1. Butter a 9x13 inch baking dish.
- 2. Arrange the slices of bread in the bottom.
- 3. In a bowl, beat the egss, milk, cream, vanilla and cinnamon.
- 4. Pour over the bread slices, cover and refrigerate overnight.
- 5. Then when ready to bake, preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
- 6. In a saucepan add the butter, brown sugar and corn syrup, heat until bubbling.
- 7. Pour over bread and egg mixture.
- 8. Bake in preheated oven, uncovered for 40 minutes.
