Mile-high Salsa Pie

- 1 lb. ground beef or chopped boneless skinless chicken breast shopping list
- 1 Old El Paso Soft Taco Bake dinner kit (4-6 tortillas, taco seasoning mix, and 2 oz. cheese sauce) shopping list
- 1 cup water shopping list
- 1 16 oz can kidney beans, drained, rinsed shopping list
- 1 16 oz jar salsa shopping list
- 1 cup shredded cheese shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
- Brown beef or chicken, drain.
- Stir in seasoning mix, water, and half of cheese sauce.
- Heat to boiling, stirring occasionally.
- Reduce heat to medium-high.
- Simmer uncovered 4 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Add kidney beans and remaining cheese sauce, heat until hot.
- In ungreased 2 quart casserole, place 1 tortilla. Layer with 1/4 of the salsa, beef, and cheese mixture.
- Repeat until ending with shredded cheese and ingredients on top.
- Cover and bake 17-22 minutes or until cheese is melted. Let stand 5 minutes.
