Here is a simple yet delicious cookie recipe largely adpated from the late Vivien Quahe-Seah's cook book "Food for Thought" which I would like to share with you.
Ingredients
- 1 kg self raising flour – sifted shopping list
- 500 gm butter shopping list
- 900 gm brown sugar shopping list
- 3 eggs shopping list
- 1 ½ tsp cinnamon powder shopping list
- ¾ tsp nutmeg powder shopping list
- mini m&m chocolate (optional) shopping list
How to make it
- Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs. Fold in sifed flour and spices. Chill mixture for 6 hours. Roll dough onto pastry board. Use cookie cutter and cut into various shapes. Add colorful mini m&m chocolate if you like. This is optional. Bake for 12 mins at 180 degree C or 350 degree F
