How to make it

  • 1. Sift together both flours, baking powder, salt and sugar in a large mixing bowl.
  • 2. Make a round opening in the center of the mixture and slowly pour in milk, egg whites and melted butter.
  • 3. Mix together until there is a smooth texture.
  • 4. Over medium-high heat, lightly oil a griddle or frying pan.
  • 5. Pour batter by 1/4 cupful onto the hot griddle.
  • 6. Brown pancakes on both sides.
  • 7. Serve with syrup or honey.
  • 8. Batter can be prepared the night before. If so, place covered in the refrigerator.
