How to make it

  • Preheat your fryer to 375.
  • In a mixing bowl, whisk the egg and milk together. Whisk baking powder, cornmeal, flour, sugar, season with salt and cayenne. Now combine your wets and drys.Whisk until smooth.
  • Spear the sausage links leaving a 1/2 in from the top. Dip each sausage in the batter, coating the sausage evenly. Gently lay the corn dogs in the hot oil and fry until golden brown. ( about 3 to 5 minutes)
