Lorens Corn Dogs

- 1 egg, beaten shopping list
- 1 C whole milk shopping list
- 1/2 tsp baking powder shopping list
- 3/4 C yellow cornmeal shopping list
- 1/2 C A/P flour shopping list
- 2 tsp sugar shopping list
- salt shopping list
- cayenne shopping list
- 2 Lbs Andouille sausage ( Heck even hot dogs will work) shopping list
- 8 wooden skewers shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat your fryer to 375.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk the egg and milk together. Whisk baking powder, cornmeal, flour, sugar, season with salt and cayenne. Now combine your wets and drys.Whisk until smooth.
- Spear the sausage links leaving a 1/2 in from the top. Dip each sausage in the batter, coating the sausage evenly. Gently lay the corn dogs in the hot oil and fry until golden brown. ( about 3 to 5 minutes)
