- 12 Pound Fully Cooked Virgina ham shopping list
- 1/2 Cup onion,chopped shopping list
- 1/2 Cup celery,de-strung,and chopped shopping list
- 3 Tablespoons of Favorite Fresh Green herb shopping list
- 1/2 Cup butter shopping list
- 6 Cups soft breadcrumbs shopping list
- 3/4 Cup Farm Fresh milk shopping list
- 1 Free Range egg,beaten shopping list
- 1 teaspoon rubbed sage shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon Whole thyme shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon Crushed sea salt shopping list
- 1 Cup brown sugar,packed firm shopping list
- 1/2 Cup dark corn syrup shopping list
- 1/2 Cup Fresh Squeezed orange juice shopping list
- watercress...for garnish shopping list
How to make it
- Remove skin from ham.
- Place fat side up on rack in pan.
- Bake it up at 325 degrees for about 2 hours.
- Saute' onion,celery,and your choice of herb in butter until nice and tender.
- Combine sauteed veggies and next 6 ingredients...stir gently until well mixed.
- Score Ham in a diamond design...cutting about 2 inches deep and 2 inches apart.
- Press stuffing into cuts.
- Combine brown sugar,corn syrup,and orange juice in saucepan...cook over medium heat,stirring all the while,until the sugar dissolves.
- Brush down ham with the sweet glaze...reserve remaining.
- Bake once more...at same temperture,until the internal reaches 140 degrees,brushing frequently with the sweet glaze.
- Garnish if you like...but I don't...unless it's with relish.
