How to make it

  • Over low heat, melt chocolate with sweetened condensed milk, vanilla and salt Remove from heat, stir in cherries. Spread into foil-lined 8 - 9" square pan. Chill 2 hours or until firm. Turn fudge out onto cutting board, peel off foil, cut in squares. Store covered in refrigerator.

    Love this method with the sweetened condensed milk... It's practically foolproof, so I knew *I* could make it. Ma and I make it in the top pan of a double boiler, because Dad likes to distract us when candy making is going on and the double boiler delays any scorching if we get too side tracked.
