How to make it

  • 1. Butter a 9 x 13 baking dish including the sides
  • 2. In a saucepan over medium heat combine sugar, corn syrup, and vinegar.
  • 3. Cook stirring until sugar dissolves. Heat without stirring to 300 -310 degrees F or until a small amount of syrup dropped into cold water forms hard brittle threads
  • 4. Remove from the heat and stir in baking soda.
  • 5. Pour into prepared pan, do not spread See Photo
  • 6. Allow to cool completely.
  • 7. Then melt the chocolate and dip the candy into the chocolate and then let set on waxed paper and store tightly covered.
