Onion Gratin Soup

- onion Gratin Soup: shopping list
- 1 large onion shopping list
- 1 1/2 tablespoons butter shopping list
- 1 3/4 cups consomme soup(uses 1 block of concomme) shopping list
- 1/2 cup shredded cheese shopping list
- 2 teaspoons grated cheese shopping list
- 2 slices French bread shopping list
- Some salt and pepper shopping list
How to make it
- Step 1:Boil 1 3/4 cups water and 1 block consomme. Set the soup aside.
- Step 2:Peel the onion and slice into thin strips.
- Step 3:Heat the butter on a medium in a frying pan. Be careful not to burn the butter. Put the onion in the butter and saute until the onion turns a dark yellow color. Stir well with a wooden spoon so it won't burn. Sauteing it well here makes the sweetness come out of the onion!
- Step 4:Add the consomme soup to the frying pan and stir. Add salt and peper to taste.
- Step 5:Put the soup into a heat-resistant bowl or cup. Put the french bread and shredded cheese on top, and chake some grated cheese on top of that. Put it in an oven toaster and toast for about 4 to 5 minutes. When it turns golden brown it's done!
