Savory Chicken Pot Pie

- 1/3 cup butter shopping list
- 1/3 cup flour shopping list
- 1/3 chopped onion shopping list
- salt and pepper to taste shopping list
- 1 3/4 chicken broth shopping list
- 2/3 cups milk shopping list
- 2 cups cut up cooked chicken (I put 2-3 diced potatoes and 1 diced onion and poultry seasoning to cook with the meat) shopping list
- 1 10 oz. frozen veggies shopping list
- 2 pie crusts (I have a good recipe posted on here also) shopping list
How to make it
- Heat butter over low heat until melted.
- Blend in flour, salt and pepper.
- Cook over low heat, stirring constantly until smooth and bubbly.
- Remove from heat.
- Stir in broth and milk.
- Heat to boiling, stirring constantly.
- Stir in chicken, potatoes, onions and frozen veggies.
- Set aside.
- Line pie plate with prepared bottom crust.
- Pour in filling.
- Top with top crust.
- Cut slits in top to vent steam.
- Flute edges.
- Cook uncovered at 300 degrees F until brown, approx. 45 minutes to an hour. ENJOY!
