Scalloped Potatoes With Garlic

- 3 TBS melted butter, divided shopping list
- 6 russet potatoes, about 2 pounds, cut into 1/8" slices shopping list
- 1 garlic clove, minced shopping list
- 3/4 cup shredded gruyere or swiss cheese shopping list
- 1/2 tsp salt shopping list
- 3/8 tsp black pepper shopping list
- 1 cup milk, heated shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven 425. Spread a 11x7 baking dish with 1 TBS butter.
- Arrange 1/2 the potatoes in dish. Sprinkle with half the garlic. Drizzle with half the remaining butter. Sprinkle on half the cheese and half the salt and pepper. Repeat layers. Pour hot milk over potatoes.
- Bake 40 minutes or until potatoes are tender, milk is absorbed and top is browned.
