Pear Flip Flop

- 4-1/2 TB unsalted butter shopping list
- 3/4 c flour shopping list
- 3/4 c sugar shopping list
- 1-1/2 tsp baking powder shopping list
- pinch of salt shopping list
- 3/4 c milk shopping list
- 1-1/4 tsp vanilla shopping list
- 1-1/2 c sliced or diced pears shopping list
- powdered sugar, for dusting shopping list
How to make it
- Cut butter into chunks and toss into 9" deep- dish pie pan(Pyrex or ceramic work well). Place in 350' oven for 5-8 mins.,or till butter is melted.. Meanwhile,whisk together dry ingredients in mixing bowl. Add milk and vanilla and whisk till smooth.
- Pour batter over hot butter;top with pears Bake 45 mins,or until top is browned and a toothpick poked in the center comes out clean.
- As they bake,the pears will sink to the bottom and form their own layer.
- Cool 30 mins;dust with powdered sugar. Serve slightly warm,straight from the dish..

Please substitute almond extract for the vanilla. Such a delicate flavor with the pears.
