Ingredients

How to make it

  • Melt Butter in Stock Pot –on Medium High Heat
  • Whisk in Flour to make light brown Roux
  • Mix Garlic, Peppers & Onions into Roux and cook until peppers are slightly tender (about 3-5 minutes)
  • Add in Cans of Tomatoes, 2 Bay Leaves, Salt, & Tony’s and reduce heat to medium low, simmer for 20 minutes. (you can leave it on simmer all day if you want – but 20 minutes is the minimum)
  • 2-3 minutes before you’re ready to serve, add shrimp.
  • Serve over Rice and a side of French Bread
  • To reduce fat – replace butter with Olive Oil – Cook Veggies in Olive Oil. After you add tomatoes, mix 2 TBSP of Cornstarch in a half of a cup of water or chicken broth and add to Creole.
  • Pairing Suggestions- Serve with a Big Glass of Sweet Tea or your favorite Savignon Blanc
