How to make it

  • Open up can of beans
  • In medium saucepan over medium heat add the beans with 2 1/2 cans of water(use the can the beans came in)
  • Add 2 sprigs of cilantro and the oregano.
  • Boil for 20 minutes.
  • In a small frying pan over medium heat add the oil and the tomato paste and the rest of the seasonings.
  • Add 2 tbsp of the bean water to the seasoning mixture and saute for a few minutes to allow the flavors to blend.
  • Add this seasoning to the beans.
  • Lower the heat of the beans and cook until the beans are nice and thick.(not that thick though, you want some sauce)
  • Add 3 sprigs of cilantro at the end to give it more taste
  • Add salt to taste
  • Serve hot
  • TIP: Add pieces of Squash or potatoes diced in pieces or
  • pieces of smoked ham this brings the flavor to another level.
