Potato Pancakes-two Ways

- 6 large potatoes, peeled, shredded and drained shopping list
- 3 eggs (medium) shopping list
- salt, black pepper, sweet paprika powder, marjoram leaves (to taste), caraway-seeds shopping list
- 1 tablespoon flour shopping list
- optional: shopping list
- 1 shredded onion (small) or 1 clove garlic shopping list
- or 2 tablespoon parsley leaves, chopped shopping list
- or 2 tablespoon grated cheese shopping list
- canola oil for frying (3 tablespoons) shopping list
How to make it
- In a bowl combine potatoes, eggs, flour and spices. Then you can add prefered optional ingredients.
- Baked:
- Pre-heat your oven to 400 F/200 C. Using spoon place the potato mixture on baking sheet coated with parchment paper. Press down on them to form thick patties. Bake until brown on both sides.
- Fried:
- In a skillet over medium-high heat, heat the oil until hot. Place large spoonfuls of the potato mixture into the hot oil, pressing down on them to form inch thick patties. Brown on one side, turn and brown on the other. Let drain on paper towels.
