Pera-piña(Rice And Pineapple Drink)

- 1 pineapple shopping list
- 1/2 cup of rice shopping list
- 2 cups of sugar shopping list
- 90 oz. of water shopping list
- cinnamon Stick(optional) shopping list
- Vanilla extract(optional) shopping list
How to make it
- Peel and core the pineapple. Cut into chunks
- Rinse your rice.
- In a large pot over medium high heat add the water, the rice and the pineapple chunks.
- Boil until the rice is very tender about 40 minutes, being careful not to let water run out and replenishing it as needed.
- When rice is tender, turn off heat and let this mixture cool down before blending.
- Using an immersion blender, blend the mixture until smooth.
- You can also use a blender and add the mixture in portions until all the pineapple and rice is pureed.
- After you are done blending it.
- Take the juice and pass it through a sieve, discarding anything that has not blended.
- Put the juice in a nice pitcher and add the sugar(add more to taste), stir.
- If mixture is too thick add more water.
- Put this juice in the refrigerator.
- Serve VERY COLD!!
