- premade marinara shopping list
- OR this delightful marinara/confit/bruschetta, highly recommended shopping list
- 40ish oz of stewed tomatoes or fresh when available, partially drained shopping list
- olive oil shopping list
- 4 cloves of garlic, diced shopping list
- one medium onion, chopped shopping list
- .5 C sweet red wine. port is my favorite. shopping list
- optional: mushrooms or a bell pepper, chopped shopping list
- 3TBS basil shopping list
- TSP red pepper flakes shopping list
- for the stuffing: shopping list
- 1 small jar of marinated artichokes shopping list
- 8 oz ricotta or cottage cheese shopping list
- 6 oz grated flavorful hard cheese shopping list
- package of manicoti noodles shopping list
How to make it
- heat dutch oven over medium flame, add enough oil to coat the bottom
- add onions, then garlic, then pepper and mushrooms
- cook until soft and fragrant
- add tomatoes, stir and squash until the pieces are broken down
- add wine, basil and pepper flakes
- let that simmer away on low heat while you fill the noodles
- put a small piece of artichoke in the center of the noodle and fill either side with cheese mixture
- place them in a glass dish
- cover the noodles with sauce
- cover the dish
- bake at 350 until noodles are cooked (varies greatly depending on type of dish and noodle)
