How to make it

  • Place oil in 8x8" square baking dish. Divide dough,thawed if frozen,into 16 pieces.
  • Form each piece into tight ball and place in dish,turning to coat with oil. Cover dish with plastic wrap;set aside in warm place till balls double in size,40 to 45 mins (or refrigerate overnight;bring to room temp. and let rise before baking.
  • Preheat oven to 350' with rack in lower third.. Season each roll with coarse salt and ground black pepper and herb of choice(if using) and bake till golden brown,35 mins. Brush rolls with 1 TB oil and let cool slightly.. Serve warm

    Wonderful & quick to prepare recipe. Mine never doubled in size (not sure why) but it didn’t matter – they were very tasty, just petite. I used fine sea salt, black pepper and thyme as was recommended, but I will certainly make these again and try different herbs. Great recipe!
