How to make it

  • Dissolve gelatin in cold water and soak 5 minutes. Cook sugar, remaining water and vinegar to a thin syrup. While hot, but not boiling, add gelatin mixture and stir until dissolved. When it begins to set, add pineapple, nuts, pickles, celery and onion juice. Let set for 2 hours. Serve on lettuce bed with mayonnaise.
