How to make it

  • In 4-6 quart crockpot, combine all ingredients. Cover and cook on low for 10-12 hours or on high for 4-5 hours. Just before serving use a potato masher to mash some of the peas in the soup for a thicker consistency if needed.

    I also cook for one and have to use "freezer foods". Split pea is one of my favorite soups. Will give this recipe a shot. I have a hambone left over from Thanksgiving
