Cubanelle Mustard Greens

- 4 cups mustard greens shopping list
- 1/4 cup shallots shopping list
- 1 medium Cubanelle pepper shopping list
- 3 cloves garlic Clove shopping list
- 4 fried slices bacon, 40% Less Fat Center Cut shopping list
- 1/4 cup Shiraz wine shopping list
- 1 tbsp olive oil shopping list
- 1 cup Homemade turkey broth shopping list
- 2 tbsp vinegar, cider shopping list
- 1/2 tsp salt shopping list
- 1/2 tsp ground black pepper shopping list
- 2 tbsp Spearmint, Fresh shopping list
- 1/2 tsp Granulated Splenda shopping list
How to make it
- Clean and chop the mustard greens into bit sized pieces. Thinly slice the shallots, dice the pepper and mince the garlic.
- In a large pot fry up the bacon. When it is just done remove the bacon and add the olive oil. Saute the shallots, pepper and garlic in this pan.
- Use the 1/4c of wine to deglaze the pot when the veggies have gotten nicely softened.
- Add the mustard greens and bacon then pour in the broth, vinegar and spices.
- Give a good stirring up. Reduce the heat and let simmer on low for about 20 minutes.
