Plov Aka Pilav Central Asian / Bukharian Style

- 2 cups of rice shopping list
- 1/2 pound beef/lamb/chicken shopping list
- 4-5 big carrots shopping list
- 2 middle sized onions shopping list
- 1 teaspoonful salt shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoonful black ground pepper shopping list
- 1 teaspoonful cumin (zeereh - in Persian) shopping list
- 1/4 cup of cooking oil (any) shopping list
How to make it
- Shallow fry the meat. Add onions.
- Wait 10 min. Add thinly chopped carrots (don't stir).
- Wait 10-15 min. Rince the rice well and spread it evenly on the carrots (we're making layers).
- Pour boiling water just eanough to cover the rice a little bit.
- Wait for the water to go almost completely.
- Cover tightly. Bring the fire down to minimum possible.
- Wait for 15-20 mins.
- Done.
- Serving suggestion: put some pomegranade kernels on the ready plov. Enjoy!
