How to make it

  • Slice bread loaf in half, lengthwise, with a serrated bread knife.
  • Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees
  • Variation 1:
  • With pastry brush, brush half of melted butter on inside of one half of the loaf. Brush the rest of the butter on the other half.
  • Sprinkle garlic powder/garlic salt/garlic spread (PICK ONE!) all over the bread where it is buttered. Be careful not to use too much!
  • Sprinkle parsley evenly over garlic and butter.
  • If desired, sprinkle shredded mozzarella evenly over garlic, butter, and parsley.
  • Wrap bread halves in foil and place on a half sheet tray.
  • Bake in oven for 15-20 minutes or until edges of bread are slightly toasted.
  • Variation 2:
  • Mix minced garlic in a small bowl with the butter.
  • With a pastry brush, brush half of the melted butter/garlic mixture on the inside of one half of the loaf. Brush the rest of the butter on the other half.
  • Sprinkle parsley evenly over garlic and butter.
  • If desired, sprinkle shredded mozzarella evenly over garlic, butter, and parsley.
  • Wrap bread halves in foil and place on a half sheet tray.
  • Bake in oven for 15-20 minutes or until edges of bread are slightly toasted.
  • **NOTE: Makes a perfect side dish for literally ANY Italian dish.
