How to make it

  • In large bowl combine powdered sugar, margarine (or butter), oil, almond extract, eggs, pudding mix, and food coloring.
  • Mix well.
  • Lightly spoon flour into measuring cup; level off.
  • Add flour, baking soda, cream of tartar, and salt.
  • Mix well
  • Stir in pecans.
  • Cover with plastic wrap and refriderate 1 hour for easier handling.
  • Heat oven to 375 degrees F.
  • Shape dough into 1 inch balls then roll in sugar.
  • Place 1 inch apart on ungreased cooking sheets.
  • Bake at 375 for 10-15 minutes or until edges are light golden brown.
  • Immediately remove from cookie sheets.
