How to make it

  • Toss cucumber with 1 tsp of salt.
  • Use cheesecloth or papertowels to line 2 sieves and set over 2 seperate bowls. Add the yogurt to one sieve and the cucumber to the other. Place in fridge for 3-4 hours to insure proper drainage.
  • Once drained, combine cucumber and yogurt in a bowl and mix in the rest of the ingredients.
  • Chill in fridge to allow flavors to blend.
  • Can be served cold or at room temperature.

If you use plain greek yogurt you can skip the straining step. I <3 tzatziki.

Delicious with spicy foods or as a veggie dip. Pretty much great with anything. Also, I do not own the rights of that photo. I did not take it. I am only using it as an example because my digital camera is out of order for the moment.
