Easy Noodle Bake

- 1 1/4 lb ground beef shopping list
- 1=15 oz can(s) tomato sauce shopping list
- 8 oz wide egg noodles, cooked and drained shopping list
- 1/2 c sour cream shopping list
- 1 1/4 c cottage cheese, small curd shopping list
- 1/2 c sliced green onion shopping list
- 1- 11/2 c grated cheddar cheese shopping list
- 1 Tbsp packed brown sugar shopping list
- 1 tsp garlic powder shopping list
- 1 tsp italian seasoning shopping list
- 1/2 tsp salt shopping list
- fresh ground black pepper shopping list
How to make it
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook beef until no longer pink; drain, Add tomato sauce, salt, garlic powder, italian seasoning, brown sugar, and pepper. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 5 minutes. Meanwhile, combine the cottage cheese, sour cream and green onion; fold in noodles. In a 3 quart casserole dish, sprayed with cooking spray, layer half of the noodle mixture, then 1/4 of the cheddar cheese, then half of the meat mixture. Repeat layers. Cover and bake at 350 for 35-45 minutes Uncover and sprinkle with remaining cheddar cheese and bake 5 minutes longer or until cheese is melted.
