The Bonaventure Burger

- 1 lb. ground sirloin shopping list
- 1/4 inch sliced red onion rings shopping list
- cajun spice blend rub shopping list
- fresh or pickled jalapeno rings shopping list
- crumbly blue cheese shopping list
- 2 slices of pepper jack cheese shopping list
- extra large kaiser rolls shopping list
- splash of Frank's red hot sauce shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat the grill to medium high heat
- Divide the beef into 1/4 pound patties about a 2/3 of an inch thick.
- Rub the Cajun spice blend on both sides of the burger.
- Cook the patties very well on one side
- When they patties are flipped, add the red onion rings to the burgers forming a "cup".
- In the onion cup, fill it with crumbly blue cheese and top it with the jalapenos.
- Close the grill lid and let the burger cook close to the desired temperature.
- About 3 minutes before the burger is ready, add the pepper jack cheese slices so they melt, covering and holding the toppings in place.
- If you want the roll grilled, place it on the grill plate at this point.
- Remove burger from grill, splash top with Franks Red Hot, place on the roll, and enjoy!
