Ingredients

How to make it

  • 1. In a mixing bowl, knead the rice flour and water to make a smooth dough that holds together and separates cleanly from the pan
  • 2. With floured hands pinch off about 1 ½ tablespoons of the dough and shape into a small patty about 2 in (5cm) in diameter and about ½ in (1cm) thick.
  • 3.) Drop the patties into a saucepan of boiling water.
  • 4.) When they float to the top, scoop them out with a slotted spoon, drain
  • 5.) Mix freshly grated coconut and sugar in a bowl.
  • 6.) Place the cooked rice patties in the bowl of coconut mixture
  • 7.) Garnish with toasted sesame seeds if desired.
  • 8.) Serve at room temperature.
