Tomato-brie Quiche

- quiche pastry shopping list
- salt shopping list
- black pepper shopping list
- milk shopping list
- 2 egg yolks shopping list
- 1 clove garlic, crushed shopping list
- 1 tbsp grainy mustard shopping list
- 50g cheddar (old), rasped shopping list
- 4 ripe tomatoes, sliced shopping list
- 1 piece of brie (approx. 125g), in thin slices shopping list
- 1 tbsp basil shopping list
- 1 tbsp parsley shopping list
- 1 tbsp coriander shopping list
- 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil shopping list
How to make it
Preparing the bottom
- * pre-heat oven to 200C (390F) for 10 min
- * put the quiche pastry in the bake form
- * prick a couple of times with a fork in the bottom
- * bake in the oven at 200C (390F) for about 10 minutes
- * take out, put aside, and lower the oven temperature to 175C (350F)
Contents
- * slice/cut all ingredients as listed
- * mix the egg yolks with the milk, garlic, salt and pepper
- * cover the pre-baked pastry bottom with a small layer of mustard
- * scatter the cheddar on the mustard-covered pastry
- * put the tomatoes and brie in the quiche, layered
- * cover with the egg/milk/spices mixture
Baking/Finishing
- * Bake for about 30/35 minutes or until the quiche is firm and golden brown
- * mix the olive oil with the herbs and pour on top of the quiche
