How to make it

  • Brown Orzo and spaghetti in a pan with butter at above medium heat. Toasting in pan until golden brown. You must stay close and stir frequently to avoid burning and uneven toasting.
  • Add broth.
  • Bring to boil.
  • Drop heat to low and cover.
  • Cook 20 min.
  • Lift lid and stir, remove from heat.
  • Cover and let sit until ready to consume.

    This recipe is a winner! Got it from a neighbor, Louise in Benicia eons ago. It is company worthy and easy to boot! Thank you for reminding me about it! One minor difference, Louise's uses rice rather than orzo. (quick cooking rice)
