Johnny's Filipino Congee

- 1 cup of rice shopping list
- Large amounts of water, 500ml or more (it depends) shopping list
- 4 cloves garlic, minced shopping list
- 1 red onion, minced shopping list
- ginger, cut into thin strips shopping list
- ground black pepper shopping list
- salt shopping list
- any kind of broth shopping list
- hard-boiled egg shopping list
- chicken meat with skin, minced shopping list
- 2 birds-eye chili shopping list
How to make it
- saute garlic until golden brown (set aside)
- saute onions and ginger and chicken.
- add your rice.
- add salt and pepper
- add water (stir and stir)
- about every 5 mins you'll need to add water so it won't burnt and get so sticky
- cook rice in a low-fire
- now, it's optional if you want it to be sticky or not by adding water till it's cooked.
- serve it with hard-boiled egg and half-burnt minced garlics on top
- (better with chili oil or chili paste)
