How to make it

  • Remove pie crusts from the box and gently unfold one layer into a nine inch pie pan while setting the other layer aside
  • Peel, core, and cut the apples into 1`/4 inch slices See Photo
  • In a medium bowl, combine sugar, flour, cinnamon, extract, and apples
  • Load the apple mixture into the prepared pie pan
  • Dot the non dairy butter over the apples
  • Cut about an inch from around the remaining pie crust and set aside. Lift crust onto the apples and pinch the upper and lower crusts together around the rim See Photo. On a floured surface roll out the crust you cut away and carve your best 'bitten out apple' to place on top of pie. Cut a few slits in the pie as well.
  • Bake at 400 degrees F for about 30-40 minutes or until golden brown See Photo
  • Cool completely before cutting to serve
