Masala Vada

- 2 cups channa dal shopping list
- 4-5 green chillies shopping list
- 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste shopping list
- 1 small onion( finely chopped) shopping list
- 3 tsp chopped dill shopping list
- 2 tsp chopped coriander shopping list
- 2 tsp chopped mint leaves shopping list
- 1 tsp chopped curry leaves shopping list
- 1 tsp coriander powder shopping list
- 1/2 tsp garam masala shopping list
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon-clove powder shopping list
- salt to taste shopping list
- oil for deep frying shopping list
How to make it
- Soak channa dal in water for 6-7 hours.Drain the dal and make sure no water is left.
- In a food processor grind coarsely the dal and green chillies.Transfer it to a mixing bowl.
- Add ginger-garlic paste, onion, dill, mint, coriander, curry leaves, coriander powder, garam masla, cinnamon-clove powder, salt and blend to the dal.
- Make patties out this mixture and deep fry in oil in a medium heat, till golden brown.
- Serve hot.
- Tip: These patties can be steam cooked instead of frying which are much more healthier and light than fried patties.
