  • Make the white cake mix recipe. While cooling on cooling rack, make small openings on the top surface of the cake and let it cool completely. Dissolve the cherry Jello into cold water and slowly pour it over the white cake (I put the cake on a baking sheet, for less mess). Spread the cherry pie filling on top of the Jello coated cake. Then add the Cool Whip on the cake and let it chill in the refrigerator.
