How to make it

  • Pressure cook carrot with milk for one whistle.
  • Heat 1/4 cup of ghee in a nonstick pan add the cooked mixture to it and fry for a minute.
  • Now add rest of the ghee and sugar, mix well and keep on stirring. Add color if you need.
  • cook till the milk evaporates and ghee stars leaving the pan, stir frequently.
  • In the mean time heat 2 tsp of ghee, add chopped almonds, cashews and whole raisins, fry for a minute, pour this on the carrot halwa. Mix everything well and turn off the heat.
  • Garnish with some nuts and serve.
