Pineapple Upsidedown Topping

got the idea into my head that I wanted pineapple upsidedown waffles, so armed with some idea of a caramel recipe i made a while ago, and a fresh pineapple I went to work. This was kinda a kit-bash I came up with I finished mine with some honey feel free to adjust however you like though
Ingredients
- 3/4c brown sugar shopping list
- 1/2 stick butter shopping list
- 1 tbsp water shopping list
- 1/4 fresh pineapple, yes you could sub canned but this is better shopping list
How to make it
- combine butter water and sugar in a pan cook on medium heat stirring with something that isn't going to melt, (eg heat resistant, metal, wood etc.)
- dice the pineapple, then crush the pieces with a fork
- stir pineapple into the sauce and cook until it starts to brown and the flavor seems right, I further doctored mine with honey,
